Foreign Culture Seminar
Our cultural orientation course is designed to highlight characteristics of different foreign cultures and societies. Participants will learn what is culturally appropriate in their countries of interest.
Professional Presentations
This English course is designed to develop the presentation skills of professionals from an intermediate level upwards. Participants will develop both language skills and communication techniques so their presentations make the maximum impact.
Professional Business Writing
Develop your business writing skills by learning the characteristics of professional business writing, and the techniques needed to write a variety of sample business documents.
English Conversation
This is a short conversation-based course to prepare you for your daily conversation and business presentations in English.
English Pronunciation Reduction
Improve your pronunciation of American English by learning how vowels and/or consonants are expressed. Practice common English sounds and learn a series of rules to help you produce the sound. Practice the sounds as they occur in words, common phrases, and sentences.
Civic Class
This class prepares you for the citizenship exam to become a U.S. citizen. It is an introduction to U.S. history, government and culture.
Film Review
This workshop allows participants to watch a wide collection of interesting movies and documentaries, and review them afterward.
Language/Culture Classes for Kids
These classes are entertaining and educational. They allow children to learn about their cultures of origin and about the U.S. culture as well.
Driving Class
This class, which has a theoretical as well as a practical part, prepares you for the driver’s license test in Texas, and walks you through all the stages of passing the driving tests.
Craft-Making
This class allows participants to express their thoughts through jewelry-making and to represent their cultures by using beads, coins, stamps and other materials.
Outdoor Activities
These activities can range from walking at parks, bike-riding, barbecuing, camping and other fun outdoor activities of choice.
Field Trips
The field trips range from visits to NASA, downtown Houston, Kemah, Galveston, the Museum District, amusement parks, Houston malls, neighboring cities to other sites of interest.
Event Planning
Our team can organize and host parties that would allow people to present and share their cultures with pride and to mingle with people from their own and/or different cultures. These parties include birthdays, anniversaries, tea, henna, baby and bridal shower parties. They can be hosted at a location of your choice or at our affiliated lounges.
